Scope
This policy applies to deployhelm.com, the hosted Helm operations platform, demo and sandbox environments such as demo.deployhelm.com, and Helm Toolkit.
It does not apply to third-party sites or tools we link to, including mining pools, power vendors, or identity providers you choose to connect. Those services have their own policies.
Use of Helm is also subject to our Terms of Service.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you request a demo or contact us, we collect your name, work email, company, and any role, fleet size, or message you include. If you create an account, we collect the email and authentication details needed to sign you in, including identifiers from a provider such as Google or GitHub if you use one.
Customer Data in the product. If your team uses the hosted platform, we process the operational data you put there — sites, miners, pool routing, power context, alerts, work items, and related records. That data belongs to your organization. We process it to run Helm for you.
Usage and log data. Our servers and hosting providers automatically receive technical information such as IP address, browser or device type, pages viewed, referring URL, and timestamps. We use this to operate, secure, and debug the website and platform.
Feedback. If you use the "Share Feedback" widget, the message and any contact details you include are sent to us through that provider so we can respond and improve the product.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Respond to demo and contact requests and follow up with you.
- Provide, maintain, and secure the website and hosted platform.
- Create and manage accounts and customer workspaces.
- Diagnose issues, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable.
- Improve Helm, including understanding which pages and features are useful.
- Send service or transactional messages related to an account or request you made.
- Comply with law and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Helm Toolkit
Helm Toolkit is a desktop app that runs on your local network. It does not require an account, and it is designed so scan, configuration, and monitoring stay on the machines and LAN you control. We do not receive your fleet table, miner credentials, or scan results from the Toolkit unless you later choose to send us something — for example by contacting us or exporting a file yourself.
When you download the Toolkit, our site or release host may log standard download metadata such as IP address, operating system, and which build you requested.
Retention
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, including:
- Demo and contact requests, for sales follow-up and to prevent abuse.
- Account and Customer Data, for the life of the workspace plus a short period after closure unless a contract says otherwise.
- Server logs, for a limited period needed for security and debugging.
We may keep a limited record after deletion if we must meet legal, security, or dispute-resolution obligations.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including access controls and encrypted transport. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You can help by using strong credentials, limiting who has access to your workspace, and never placing production secrets in a public demo.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to update a demo request you submitted. Account users can also correct much of their profile information inside the product.
Depending on where you live — including California and other U.S. states with privacy laws, and the EEA or UK — you may have additional rights to object to certain processing, restrict processing, or request a copy of your information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To make a request, use our contact form and say that it is a privacy request. We may need to verify who you are before we act on it. If you are part of a customer organization, we may route the request to that organization when the information is Customer Data they control.
International visitors
Helm is operated from the United States. If you access the services from another country, your information may be processed in the U.S. and other locations where we or our providers operate. Those places may have different data protection laws than your home country.
Children
Helm is built for mining operators and other businesses. The services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product or the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when we reasonably can — for example on this page or by email to account contacts.
Contact
Privacy questions and requests can be sent through our contact form. If you already have a Helm workspace, you can also reach your Helm contact directly.
